Access your HotelMinder workspace from Thailand

A practical, step-by-step guide for Thai hoteliers who need to open the HotelMinder Advisory Directory workspace, generate an API key, and connect it to their ThaiHotelMinder modules. Written from Bangkok, tested from Chiang Mai and Phuket.

Confirm your HotelMinder account is active

Log in at hotelminder.com with the email your property has on file. If your account was set up by a corporate parent or an outside consultant, ask them for the owner email before proceeding.

Open Advisory Directory settings

From the top navigation, choose Directory → Settings → API access. This screen lists any API keys already issued for your workspace and their permissions.

Generate a new read API key

Click Generate new key. Name it "ThaiHotelMinder read-only". Give it read access to Reservations, Rate plans, Guest profiles (anonymised), Distribution feeds, and Reports. Do not grant write access.

Copy the key exactly once

HotelMinder shows the key value once — copy it and paste it directly into the ThaiHotelMinder workspace, never into an email or chat. If lost, generate a new key and revoke the old one.

Paste into ThaiHotelMinder

Open your ThaiHotelMinder workspace at thaihotelminder.org/workspace, go to Settings → Connected HotelMinder workspace, and paste the key. The connection is tested against a Bangkok endpoint immediately.

Confirm the first sync

The first data pull runs within 15 minutes. You will see a green ◆ next to your workspace name once the reservations, rate plans and channels are indexed.

Enable your modules

Return to the ThaiHotelMinder Catalogue and click Activate on each purchased module. The first advisory pack lands in your inbox within 24 hours.

PDPA reminder: when you grant ThaiHotelMinder read-access to your HotelMinder workspace, we process guest personal data under a Data-Processing Agreement (DPA) governed by the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562. Data is stored in Thailand-resident infrastructure and never exported outside Thailand without your explicit written approval. Read our DPA and PDPA notice.

Troubleshooting

Only workspace owners and admin roles see the API access screen. Ask your HotelMinder account owner (usually the general manager or the head of distribution) to either grant you the admin role or generate the key on your behalf.

The key was issued without read access to one of the required scopes. Return to HotelMinder, edit the key, and grant read access to Reservations, Rate plans, Distribution feeds and Reports. Retry from ThaiHotelMinder within 5 minutes.

Some Thai corporate networks block HotelMinder's regional CDN. Retry from a mobile hotspot to isolate; if it succeeds, ask your IT team to whitelist api.hotelminder.com.

Distribution and parity modules pull every 30 minutes. Revenue modules pull hourly. Operations modules pull twice per day (07:00 and 19:00 Bangkok time). Report packs pull once daily at 03:00.

From your ThaiHotelMinder workspace, Settings → Connected HotelMinder workspace, click Revoke. The key is immediately deleted from our infrastructure. Also revoke it inside HotelMinder itself to close the loop.
